When the existing system needs improvement

The company JOB AIR Technic a.s. utilizes the Quantum Control information system, a complex ERP system designed specifically for the aviation industry and the MRO sector. This system covers various operations ranging from supply chain management to maintenance planning and financial management. The architecture and licensing scheme of IS Quantum correspond to the era of its creation, and features such as data access for third parties, mobile device support, remote login, and other operations considered standard nowadays cannot be added without a fundamental and costly modernization.

Following the aircraft's arrival and problem diagnosis, a need for additional unplanned repairs often arises, which requires approval of the time requirements for the repairs while simultaneously securing the necessary material. All of this demands direct communication with the customer. Due to the aforementioned limitations of the IS, data sharing relied on exchanging Excel spreadsheets and reports via email, which was a time-consuming process for the responsible staff in administrative departments.

The process of approving maintenance-related costs was inefficient and slow, carrying a risk of error. Mutual communication prolonged the ordering process for necessary spare parts. It was challenging for the sales department staff to obtain complete documentation to send out the final billing.

The objective was to enable real-time access to the order status for both internal and external users. To provide the sales department with access to the necessary documents, thereby speeding up the billing process of the entire order.
